The Rogers Company, an award-winning designer and manufacturer of branded environments and exclusive and expert Nimlok distributor based in the Cleveland, OH area, is proud to announce the successful completion of their Changing Minds exhibit displayed in the Cleveland Public Library’s Louis Stokes Wing.

The Changing Minds exhibit was open to the public September 2, 2016 through October 28, 2016. During that time, over 36,000 people viewed the exhibit. In addition, a smaller traveling exhibit toured seven Cleveland library branch locations, giving the initiative added exposure and viewership.

Changing Minds is a Cleveland metropolitan school system initiative to dispel myths, break down barriers and re-picture education in Cleveland. The Rogers Company partnered with design firm Nesnadny + Schwartz to design, build and install a Changing Minds exhibit in the Cleveland Public Library that used photography and multimedia to illustrate the passion, concentration and dedication of students, faculty and families that make up Cleveland metropolitan school system.

“Our goal – and the goal of the Changing Minds initiative – was to bring these beautiful pieces of photography to a wider audience,” said Rick Busby, president of The Rogers Company. “The Cleveland Public Library would certainly draw that larger audience, so our focus was to design an exhibit that could showcase Changing Minds efficiently and memorably to large crowds.”

The exhibit was built in a lower atrium in the Louis Stokes Wing of the public library. This area serves as a crossroads for those passing between the new and historic wings of the library, giving Changing Minds added exposure of passersby from elevated balconies. Creative graphic design and integrated projectors allowed visitors to experience the exhibit from above as well as on-the-ground.

“We really thought about the visitors when designing this exhibit,” said Busby. “The exhibit could engage people from above and attract them down into the space when they might have simply passed it by otherwise.”
