Exhibit Etiquette: Guidelines of Exhibiting Etiquette

Prepare for a successful show.
Dress according to the company's dress code - uniform or other requirements.
Wear your name tag on upper right side (avoid wearing a lanyard).
Wear comfortable (broken-in) shoes. Consider having a second pair to change into if you work a very long shift.
Know the booth layout.
Know the products being displayed.
Qualify the prospect with powerful questions.
Determine the prospect's needs through your questioning.
Relate your product to those needs during your presentation/demonstration.
Know your competition.
Be polite and firm with tire kickers.
Walk around the other trade show exhibits and familiarize yourself with what's new in the industry, even if you're a market leader.
Help keep the booth clean and neat.
Be enthusiastic.
Be confident.
Know who else is working your trade show booth and their area of expertise.
Be nice to "LOOKERS."
