China’s Growth Rate Slows

As the growth rate of China’s Gross Domestic Product slows, so too is the convention and exhibition industry experiencing a growth rate that lags behind recent years’ surges.  This is, however, a time for industry participants to focus on improving venues, services, and experience, in the hopes of roping in larger international audiences in the future. 

China’s hiccup in growth for conventions and exhibitions could be the result of one of three possibilities:

Reduced venue construction

Beijing summer Olympic game accommodations have reduced the number of annual exhibitions

Declining global economy
